Know What to Ask Before You Buy

FIRE RESISTANCE RATING

WHY IT MATTERS:
Precast concrete is naturally noncombustible & has excellent fire resistance — usually with a fire rating of 2—4 hours, depending on thickness & mix design.

WHAT TO CHECK >>

Ask for the fire rating certification or test data from the manufacturer. Make sure the panel thickness & design meet local building/fire codes for wildfire-prone areas.

STRUCTURAL STRENGTH & DURABILITY

WHY IT MATTERS:
You want the fence to stay standing under both normal conditions & extreme events (like fire + wind combined).

WHAT TO CHECK >>

Minimum compressive strength (usually 5,000—8,000 psi for durable precast). Reinforcement (rebar, steel mesh) inside the panels. Quality of panel connections & footings.

What styles and colors are available?

StackWall offers a variety of styles—Brick, Stone, Wood, Modern, Picket, & Elaborate. Color options are available through integral color mixed into concrete, staining or post-installation painting. Call to confirm color availability.

Can I mix and match panels designs?

Yes. Most StackWall designs are mix-and-match compatible for a fully customizable look.

Are StackWall panels customizable?

StackWall panels come in fixed sizes but can be cut to fit on-site. Choose from 100+ designs, with custom patterns or sizes available for an additional cost.

What dimensions are the panels?

Standard panels are approximately 80" wide x 20" tall. Fence heights range from 2–10 ft (residential) and up to 30 ft (commercial).

Can each side of the fence have a different design?

Yes. Double-sided designs (two panels back-to-back) allow each neighbor to choose their own style.

Do you offer other precast products?

Yes. We also manufacture wall caps, benches, fountains, pillars, & garden décor. StackWall can also create custom gates & ironwork.

COST, ESTIMATES & ORDERING

Are in-home estimates free?

Yes, in-home estimates are free in Southern California. Weekend appointments are available. For other areas, request an online quote.

Is there a minimum fence length?

No minimum order is required. We accommodate fences of any size.

Does fence height affect cost?

Yes. Taller fences (over 6 feet) require more materials and installation time, which increases costs.

What is the payment schedule?

A 10% deposit is due upon placing order.

What’s the typical manufacturing lead time?

Lead time depends on order size and our current production queue. Timelines are reviewed during the quoting process.

DURABILITY & MAINTENANCE

Are StackWall fences weather- and pest-resistant?

Yes. Our concrete walls resist termites, endure all climates, and help keep pets in and predators out. Optional coyote rollers can be added

What maintenance is required?

Minimal maintenance—just an occasional rinse. Rare efflorescence discoloration is easily cleaned with an acid wash.

Do StackWall fences reduce noise?

Yes. They can reduce noise from busy streets or freeways by up to 12 dB.

DELIVERY & ADD-ONS

Do you offer delivery outside Southern California?

Yes. StackWall ships nationwide.

How is the product shipped and unloaded?

We deliver via flatbed truck and typically handle offloading. A forklift may be required for some drop locations.

Do you offer gates or other integrated features?

Yes. Options include iron gates, smart walls, garden walls, mailboxes, and more.

Can I install StackWall myself?

Yes. Installation is DIY-friendly with basic tools and help. A free installation guide is included with purchase.

What equipment is required?

No heavy machinery needed—just standard tools for digging and panel placement. When access is available equipment is encouraged for faster installation.

How deep should the post holes be?

32” minimum for shorter walls, & we recommend a project consultation with our Stackwall staff to confirm site location conditions and project specs.

SITE & INSTALLATION SERVICES

Will StackWall remove old fencing or obstacles?

Yes. Our team can clear obstructions along the fence line as part of installation services.

How long does installation take?

Time varies depending on site prep needs like demolition, grading, or debris removal as well as soil conditions and access.

CODES & PERMITS

Do I need a permit?

Generally, yes. Most cities require permits to install fences around residential properties and we help guide clients through necessary steps to obtain permit. City restrictions vary.

Are there restrictions on fence height?

Most areas cap fence height at 6' for emergency access. Taller walls typically require custom approval or commercial permitting. City height restrictions vary.

StackWall manufacturing site is headquartered in Pomona, CA and we service all Southern California. We also ship nationwide and have a vetted listed of nationwide approved installers.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, we offer financing through Hearth Financial.

Are you open on weekends?

Our office is open Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM. Saturday visits are by appointment only.

Do you sell your molds?

No. We only sell finished precast concrete products.
